This is Live Action P.J, with her own Sears Exclusive Gift Set. She is dressed in a pretty bright nylon print cropped top and skirt, and has matching pants. The crop top has orange suede cloth fringe on the elongated sleeves. The skirt and the pants have orange suede waistbands; the skirt closes in the back with a single golden bead and the pants with one metal snap. She's also wearing orange suede boots with scalloped tops. P.J.'s second outfit is a one piece orange and gold suit with gold thread attached boots, and a purple suede fringe vest with a gold bead button. A 45 RPM record, "Hey, Little P.J. Gal", and a Live Action stand complete the the set.
P.J. has full hair in the original set with little braids and beads. She has all of her eyelashes and face paint. Her body has good coloring, and her legs, ankles, arms, and wrists bend as they should. She is marked ©1968 Mattel, Inc./U.S. & Foreign Patented/Patented in Canada 1967/Other Patents Pending/Taiwan.
The purple suede vest looks like it has never been on a doll, as the fringe hasn't even been separated at the bottom. I've never seen this before! This particular orange jumpsuit has the gold thread boots, not the lamé, so there are several loose threads. Otherwise, it's in excellent condition, with no holes or runs that I see. All of the outfit pieces P.J. is wearing are in excellent condition, with no fading. The record has wear, so I would say it's display quality only. Altogether, a very nice, vividly colorful display set.
